Import from Master Tour
Coming off Master Tour? Bring your dates over with the export you already have, or connect your Eventric API key and pick the tour.
If your routing already lives in Master Tour, you don’t have to retype it. Advance takes the export you already have, and it can also talk to Eventric directly.
1. Open the importer
Click Import on the Dashboard or the Tours page, then From Master Tour.
2. Pick a way in
The dialog offers two.
Upload an export
Click Choose Master Tour file. Advance reads:
- The Tour Details CSV (in Master Tour, File → Export). This is the cleanest one.
- A day sheet PDF.
- A plain text or email export.
Or connect directly
Under or connect directly, paste your Master Tour API key and API secret, then click Connect and list my tours. Both are on your Eventric account page. Advance lists the tours you can see, you pick one, and it pulls that tour’s upcoming shows.
3. Review before it lands
Either way, you end up on the same review screen: every date it found, as a row with the date, venue, and city. Uncheck anything that doesn’t belong. Then either Create new tour and name it, or add the dates to a tour you already have.
Give the list a once-over. Anything wrong, you fix on the show afterward.
4. Import, then advance
The run lands as a tour, every date flagged New and not yet advanced. Advance also fills in venue street addresses where it can, so the map and drive times work right away.
From here it’s the normal loop: as each date gets close, CC your advance address on the venue thread and the schedule, contacts, and hospitality fill themselves in.
What’s next
- CC your advance address on each venue thread.
- Send your first day sheet once a show is reviewed and advanced.
- Dates on a public tour page instead? Import a tour from a URL is one paste.
- Still deciding? What switching from Master Tour actually changes.
