Import a tour from a URL

Paste a link to your tour page and Advance reads the dates, venues, and cities into a tour. The fastest way to get a whole run into the app.

Updated June 22, 2026

The fastest way to get a whole run into Advance is to not type it in at all. If your dates already live somewhere public, your Bandsintown page or your own site’s tour list, paste the link and Advance reads them into a tour for you.

Import the whole run in one pass. Then advance each show as it gets close and the venue starts sending details.

1. Open the importer

Open Shows (or the Dashboard) and click Import, then From a URL.

Paste the link to wherever your dates already live, then click Search. It works with the big listing sites (Bandsintown, Songkick, Seated) and with most artists’ own tour pages. Advance reads the page and pulls out the shows. This takes a few seconds.

3. Review what it found

Every show it found comes back as a row: date, venue, city. Uncheck anything that doesn’t belong. Then either Create new tour and name it, or add the dates to a tour you already have.

Advance reads these off a web page, so it can miss a date or get a venue slightly wrong. Give the list a quick once-over before you import. Anything that’s off is editable on the show afterward.

4. Import, then advance

Click Import and the whole run lands as a tour. Every show shows up flagged New and not yet advanced, the same as a freshly parsed advance.

That’s the skeleton of the tour. From here you work show by show: as each date approaches, CC your advance address on the venue thread and the schedule, contacts, and hospitality fill themselves in.
